Hey everyone! In Printmaking Class, I recently made my first etching, which was one of my first experiences with printmaking in general. This piece is going to be a detailed description of my process.
The proccess was overall very time consuming, but I believe it was worth it for my final prints. I spent nearly two weeks with countless studio hours working on my prints. Though I had lots of frustration, I never lost hope that the project would be worth it. Overall, etching was the perfect medium for sharing my images with the world.Hey everyone! Sorry I have not posted in a while. Camp has been super busy. Last night I was awake until 3 am working on a project! However, do not fret, for I have still been sketching. So far, one of my most memorable experiences has been visiting the High Museum of Art.When I visited they had a special exhibit on Winnie the Pooh, which featured lots of the original artwork and concept art for the books!Following Winnie The Pooh, I continued to look around the museum and sketch for a bit.Overall, the museum trip was very fun and super inspiring. If anyone is ever in Atlanta, I highly recommend visiting. Though it was closed this time, the museum typically has a large permanent collection of Warhols on display, which I saw last time. Hope everyone is having a great Summer! |
